Junior Lessons 

Ages: 12+  (must be 12 by July 1 and able to swim a minimum of 50 yds)

This beginner course introduces recreational sailing and safe boating practices to sailors using a Lazer sailboat. It runs in 1 or 2 week sessions.

INTERMEDIATE SAILING

Ages: 12+ (must be 12 by July 1 and able to swim a minimum of 50 yds)

This class is for sailors that have basic sailing skills and want to build on their existing skills. The sailboat used will be a Laser.

Ages: 12 + (must be 12 by July 1 and able to swim a minimum of 50 yds)

In this program, 3 - 4 students go out with an instructor in the Daysailer, a 16 foot sailboat. No prior experience is necessary. All aspects of sailing will be addressed, resulting in the participants handling all elements of rigging, sailing and breaking down the boat. The course will cover the required topics and testing for a US Sailing Powerboat Certificate. Students who obtain a course completion certificate can apply for a State of Connecticut Certificate of Personal Watercraft.
