2013 Junior Activities
The Professional Staff at H. Smith Richardson Golf Course have a number of Junior activities available to the golfing public. Two camps to speak of at H. Smith Richardson Golf Course are the INTRODUCTION TO GOLF CAMP, which is geared for that golfer who is just starting out, and is looking to learn the basic fundamentals of the swing with a PGA PROFESSIONAL. This camp is geared for ages 6 -15 years old, boys and girls. (see dates below)
The JUNIOR PLAYERS CAMP, is for young golfers grades 6 and higher, that are for serious players looking to take their game to the next level. PGA PROFESSIONAL instructed. (please see dates and description below)
INTRODUCTION TO GOLF CAMP -
Limit: 24 / sesson.
"Introduction to Golf" camp which is geared towards young golfers. These camps will teach basic fundamentals of the game. The clinics will take place at the driving range from 9:00 to 12:00 daily. Each session will group like ages together from 6 to 15 years of age boys and girls. Limited to 24 campers per session. PGA Professional Instructing. The Fee is $255.00 per camper. (sibling only discount is $20.00)
Sign up and Registration will be Saturday May 11th at 4:00 p.m. in the grille room at H. Smith Richardson G.C. After May 11th registration requests go to Bob Bigonette at coachbigspga@gmail.com. All parents must fill out a contact/consent form at this time. No refunds will be issued unless your spot is filled.

JUNIOR GOLF PLAYERS CAMP - 3 day camps from 1:00-5:30 FEE: $299.00 Limit: 6 / session
The H. Smith Richardson Junior Players Camp is for those young golfers grades 6th and higher that are serious players looking to take their game to the next level. The camp is for experienced players only and for those golfers looking to prepare to make their high school teams. This camp is designed to approach all facets of the game including , short game long game and drills along with skills, coupled with 9 holes of golf played every day with PGA PROFESSIONALS instructing throughout. The camp is high energy and will include VIDEO TECHNOLOGY FOR INSTRUCTION. Camp runs from 1:00 - 5:30 daily, and will meet at the Driving range at 1:00. The Fee is $299.00 and Includes green fees and is open to GIRLS AND BOYS....these camps fill up quickly, please see registration information below.
Registration for all sessions will be on a first come, first serve basis and will begin on May 11th at 4:00 PM in the Grill Room at H. Smith Richardson Golf Course. JUNIOR GOLF OPEN PLAY AT SOUTH PINE CREEK PAR 3 - (Ages 7-13) FREE
Please come and join us for open play!!! Every Thursday at 3:00 PM beginning June 27th through August 15th. There is no need to pre-register, just show up when you can. Junior golfers need to have their own equipment and must show proper golf etiquette. Bring a friend and have some fun! JUNIOR INTRODUCTORY GOLF CLINIC - (Ages 8-15)
FEE: $120.00 Limit: 25
The golf professional staff will conduct a five session introductory golf clinic for juniors ages 8 to 15 on Wednesday evenings in July. This program is geared towards beginning golfers and will cover all the basic elements including woods, irons, chipping and putting. All sessions will take place either at the driving range or the putting greens. This program does not include on course play. Registrations will be accepted in the Golf Pro Shop starting on June 1st.
The dates for the clinics are July 3,10,17,24 & July 31 and all sessions will run from 5:15 - 6:30 PM.
