There are two public marinas in Town:
The South Benson Marina 236 Turney Road, Fairfield
Ye Yacht Yard 985 Harbor Road, Southport
The South Benson Marina accommodates 630 boats from 14.1’ to 36’. Also at the Marina is a boat launch ramp, food concession, bathroom facilities, picnic tables and a fishing pier. It sits adjacent to the Ash Creek Open Space property that also has picnic tables, playground equipment and walking trails into the creek.
Historic Ye Yacht Yard, located on picturesque Southport Harbor, accommodates 60 small boats to a maximum 14” and no wider than 5’ as well as providing boat launch services to residents and access to moorings in Southport Harbor. Also, 25 Kayak racks are available.
To be considered for a boat slip, you must be permanent resident of the Town of Fairfield. Boat slips holders from the preceding year are invited to return yearly. If vacancies occur, the slips are filled by the appropriate waiting lists compiled by the Commission from approved applicants on a first-come, first-served basis.
