Penfield Locker Rentals

There are 203 lockers large enough to change in as well as store beach chairs and other items available to rent for the beach season at Penfield Pavilion.

IMPORTANT!   2013 LOCKER INFORMATION: We regret that due to Hurricane Sandy, the Penfield Pavilion requires major repairs. We will be unable to offer Lockers for the 2013 Summer Season.  We will resume our lottery procedure in 2014.

HOURS of OPERATION: Weekends only 10:00 AM  to 6:00 PM starting May 25 to June 23 and September 1 to September 8. Full time Summer hours are from 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM and are tentatively scheduled from June 24 - August 28. (starting and ending dates pending school openings and closings) 

To ensure giving as many people an opportunity to take advantage of the lockers as possible, a lottery will be held each year for selling and assigning lockers. Of the 203 lockers, 20 will be sold to non-residents, should they apply and be chosen.

  • Fill out the Penfield Locker Lottery Application completely and include a valid credit card or be present at time of drawing to provide payment. Those not wishing to use a credit card will be required to produce a check at the time of the lottery if they are chosen. Returned  checks or invalid credit cards will result in voided application. 
  • All applications should be mailed, faxed or brought directly to the Fairfield Parks & Recreation Office at 75 Mill Plain Rd no later than 7:00 AM on March 28. Applications received after 7:00 AM on the day of the drawing will not be accepted. We are not responsible for lost mail or faxes that failed.
  • Only one application per household will be accepted. All Lottery applicants’ names will be posted on our website within 48 hours of drawing.
  • Lockers will be assigned as drawn. No location requests will be honored. If requesting one of our 2 wheelchair accessible lockers, proof of Handicapped Status with the State of CT must accompany application. 
  • Within 10 days of Lottery, those chosen will receive a receipt by mail or email, including locker assignment (see floor plan). A first name, last name listing will be posted online within 48 hours.
  • Lockers are non-transferrable. 
  • Refund requests must be done in writing and will be considered as per our normal procedure.

Didn’t win the lottery? If you are not one of the lucky ones who are able to rent a locker for the season, we have another option! Rent one of our Daily lockers for $5.00 per day. See the Penfield Attendant inside the building.
